

The Part of the Promise Scholarship Program
The “Part of the Promise” Scholarship aims continue the life and legacy of April C. Harmon, by supporting a graduating senior from each of Norfolk Public Schools’ five high schools. Members of Norfolk Public School's Counseling Department will have nominated these seniors due to their showing of outstanding promise at becoming a beacon of hope and change in their community. Furthermore, each senior will be attending an accredited HBCU or vocational school upon their May 2026 graduation.
The Blooms of Promise: The April C. Harmon foundation aims to share this $1,000 single year scholarship with five of Norfolk Public School's outstanding graduating seniors. seeks to aid these seniors in their journey to taking the next steps toward improving their life and the lives of those around them.
All completed applications should be submitted no later than April 13th, 2026 at 11:59pm.
